Chief Executive Officer / Founder
Born and raised in Singapore, Ping grew up in a culture where food and homecooked meals were central to daily life and an early influence that shaped her career in hospitality. She is currently developing a two-story facility in Detroit’s Eastern Market that will serve as the headquarters for Marrow in the Market — a combined restaurant and processing facility focused on value-added, sustainably sourced meat products from the Great Lakes region.
Ping received a James Beard Foundation Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership fellowship in 2018. A 2022 Crain’s Detroit Notable LGBTQ Business Honoree, she was previously VP of Digital Strategy and Business Development at Warner Music Group in New York. Ping graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University and holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
A four-time James Beard–nominated restaurant rooted in Detroit’s historic West Village. Known for its bold, whole-animal cooking and seasonal menus, Marrow also operates a casual butcher-driven eatery in Birmingham, MI. Coming fall 2025: Marrow in the Market, a new restaurant and processing facility opening in Detroit’s iconic Eastern Market.
